
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking information from the public to locate a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on South Capitol Street. The incident took place on June 10 and resulted in the victim losing possessions after a confrontation with an armed individual.
According to the police report, the suspect approached the victim around 2:50 p.m. in the 700 block of South Capitol Street, Southeast. Brandishing a firearm, the suspect demanded the victim's property. Fleeing the scene after the victim complied.
MPD has released a surveillance photo of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward. The department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for details that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in this or any other violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
