A DoorDash delivery incident in Milwaukee escalated to a concerning level of violence when a customer allegedly tracked down the driver's residence and inflicted considerable damage on her vehicle, as per reports from local news outlets. According to TMJ4, the driver, Faith Morris, faced a harrowing encounter resulting in around $6,000 of damage to her car after a customer followed her home over a dispute regarding an undelivered food order. The incident was confirmed by the Milwaukee Police Department as being under investigation.
Detailing the sequence of events, Morris recounted the experience and expressed her disbelief to FOX6Now, saying the customer had tracked her to her house and smashed her car because of the undelivered late-night order, she had intended to bring a food order from Fryerz to the customer around 2 a.m. but lost phone service and the connection to the DoorDash app resulting in the struggle to locate the delivery address.
The situation worsened when Morris, unable to complete the delivery, returned home and attempted to cancel the order through the DoorDash app, which she thought had gone through when the order disappeared from the system. "The order disappeared. So usually that means that they cleared the order, or something like that," Morris told WISN 12 News. However, the ordeal did not end there; the customer continued to contact Morris, accusing her of stealing the food and failing to acknowledge the attempted cancellation.
After harassing phone calls in which the customer implied theft of the order by stating, "She's saying no, you stole my food, and I even tipped you," the customer appeared at Morris's home, captured by her Ring camera footage shared with WISN 12 News. The customer proceeded to vandalize Morris's vehicle with a tire iron all while the undelivered DoorDash order sat abandoned in the backseat.
