Milwaukee is gearing up to groove to the beat of its 7th annual Hip-Hop Week MKE, an official city event celebrating the culture and influence of hip-hop. Slated for August 17-23, the event promises a week packed with performances, local art showcases, and much more, according to the City of Milwaukee official website.

Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II is set to host a news conference on Sunday, August 17 at The Rave/Eagles Club, located at 2401 W. Wisconsin Ave, to officially launch the festivities. The news conference, which begins at 5 p.m., is open to the public, and Stamper has warmly encouraged "all DJs, dancers, MCs, artists and Hip-Hop lovers of all ages to come down to the news conference and help us to officially launch the 2025 version of Hip-Hop Week MKE," as he told the City of Milwaukee.

The seven-day celebration kicks off with a high-energy concert at 8 p.m. featuring performances by the legendary duo The Clipse and Atlanta-based group EarthGang. Doors for the event open at 6:30 p.m., and attendees can snag their tickets by visiting The Rave's website, as per the City of Milwaukee.
