Residents in Milwaukee and nearby areas are forecast to see sunny conditions today, with a high near 76 degrees. A northeast wind at 5 to 10 mph will provide a light breeze. Tonight, clear skies are expected to bring temperatures down to around 61 degrees, with light northeast winds continuing, as reported by the NWS.
Looking ahead to the weekend, there is a slight chance of showers Friday night and early Saturday morning, with precipitation likelihood at 20 percent. It may be wise to have an umbrella available for outdoor plans. Additionally, the NWS warns of possible dense fog overnight in south central Wisconsin, particularly west of I-90, which could reduce visibility for late-night travelers.
As for the next few days, the NWS's Hazardous Weather Outlook indicates a mostly sunny trajectory with daily highs ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s. Sunday will bring a dip in temperature, showcasing a sunny high near 71, while brisk west winds at 10 to 15 mph will keep the air moving. Nighttime lows will hover in the mid-50s throughout the week, providing some respite from the day's heat.
Despite the generally calm weather pattern, the NWS has not ruled out the possibility of some weather-related hazards. In preparation for the potential fog and scattered thunderstorms, "Spotter activation is not expected at this time," as conditions are not anticipated to escalate beyond a normal threshold.
