The Mint Hill Police Department has issued a warning to residents and commuters regarding significant flooding that has impacted local roadways. According to a social media post from the department, Nelson Road at Lawyers Road is currently closed due to flooding.
In an effort to ensure public safety, barricades have been positioned by Public Works to prevent passage. The department stresses the importance of not attempting move these barriers.
Flooding has also been disrupting the 9700 block of Bartlett Road as reported, where the police urge extreme caution. Despite being engulfed by water, the message circulated by the department implores drivers to turn around instead of attempting to traverse the flooded area.
