The City of Monroe will launch a Reserved Parking Program for downtown businesses and workers starting Wednesday next week. The program will provide a set number of parking spaces to offer consistent parking for participants.
According to the City of Monroe, the reserved parking lot is at the intersection of N. Hayne Street and E. Crowell Street and contains 18 spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants may request up to two spaces, display a placard on their rearview mirror, and use the space during reserved hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The annual fee for each space is $500.
Applications and additional details will be available on the City of Monroe’s official website. The program is intended to address the high demand for parking in the downtown area.
