The Monroe Police Department is inviting community members to participate in a Patch Design Contest, offering a chance for local creativity to contribute to civic life. A Facebook post from the department indicates that artists are being asked to submit designs for a new department emblem. Participants can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or digital tools to develop their concept.
Detailed guidelines have been provided for those wishing to take part, with submissions required by September 1. Entries can be sent via email to Lieutenant Malone or delivered directly to the department. Chosen designs will be presented for public voting through likes on the department’s Facebook page, encouraging community participation in selecting the new patch.
The contest rewards include a Monroe PD Swag Bag, the opportunity for the winning patch to be displayed as the department’s profile image for one week, and other potential surprises. The Monroe Police Department retains the right to reject any submission they deem inappropriate.
