
A 35-year-old man is now facing serious charges in relation to a shooting that disrupted the relative calm of Lockwood Drive in Montgomery County. According to the Montgomery County Police Department, Joseph Gordon is accused of shooting another man, marking a violent peak in what has been described as an ongoing dispute between the two individuals.
The incident unfolded the morning of July 28, when police were called to the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive at 9:46 a.m. after reports of gunfire, and found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm, officers at the scene administered life-saving measures until Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel could transport him to the hospital in serious condition. The investigation quickly pointed detectives in Gordon's direction, leading to his eventual arrest on Wednesday.
In the aftermath of Gordon's arrest, he was hit with a string of charges that carry significant weight: attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and various handgun-related offenses. He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, and it is reported that he has been held without bond as he awaits the next steps in the judicial process.
