Montgomery County Police are requesting assistance from the public in pinpointing a suspect involved in a stabbing incident earlier this month, as reported by the Montgomery County Department of Police. The altercation took place in Wheaton, Maryland, near the intersection of Fern Street and University Boulevard West.
The department responded to a stabbing report on Saturday, August 2, at around 3:20 a.m. A male victim was found stabbed as a group of people was exiting a nearby restaurant. The victim, transported to a local hospital, was listed in critical but stable condition.
Description of the suspect—provided by officials—paints the picture of a Hispanic male, estimated to be around 28 years old, with a slim figure. The man has short black hair and a goatee, sporting an ear piercing and tattoos visible on both arms. His attire during the incident included a white Nicaragua baseball jersey, marked distinctly with the number 16 in blue, along with black shorts and white Jordan sneakers. He was also noted to have been wearing a royal blue baseball cap with "N" emblem on the front at the time.
Video surveillance capturing the suspect has been made available, and authorities are encouraging anyone who might have knowledge pertinent to the case to reach out.
