According to KHON2, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services confirmed the incident happened around 3 p.m., where a 20-year-old female motorcyclist was found with multiple injuries. The Honolulu Police Department reported that the woman was westbound on Farrington Highway when she lost control of her motorcycle and struck the raised concrete curb, resulting in her being ejected onto the roadway.
Paramedics provided life-saving measures at the scene, and she was subsequently transported to the hospital in a critical state. Notably, the woman was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The aftermath of the collision prompted the closure of two westbound lanes at Ala Akau St. and Farrington Hwy, causing significant traffic delays.
