
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident took place on Monday evening. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers arrived on the scene in the 1200 block of 12th Street, NW, after reports of shots being fired around 6:56 PM.
Upon arrival, they found 33-year-old Tymark Wells, a Northwest resident, unconscious with gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS were quick to transport him to a nearby hospital, but Wells was pronounced dead after attempts to revive him proved unsuccessful. The case remains to be actively investigated as the search for the perpetrator continues. To potentially aid in bringing some resolution to this case, the Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in Wells' death.
