A multi-county car chase in Florida culminated in the arrest of a 30-year-old woman, Fallyn Jade Zerbe. According to a social media post by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, deputies initially attempted to stop Zerbe on August 6, for driving at dangerously high speeds along I-95. However, an arrest wasn't made until other law enforcement agencies became involved in the pursuit.
The pursuit turned critical when Zerbe reportedly began driving recklessly, making an attempts to collide with patrol vehicles and civilian cars alike. Zerbe's actions prompted the intervention of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO). It was JSO that finally ended the chase, using a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) to disable her vehicle.
The Florida Highway Patrol took Zerbe into custody. She now faces a string of charges from multiple agencies. These include Reckless Driving, Fleeing or Eluding Law Enforcement, and Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, as outlined in the statement from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
