The Metropolitan Nashville Sports Authority has a new feather in its cap with GEODIS Park being named a recipient of an International Architecture Award® for 2025. Presented by The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, the award celebrates design and innovation excellence on the world stage. Nashville's own soccer-specific colossus, which opened in 2022, is the largest in the United States and Canada and is now receiving global nods for its architecture.

There's a tangible buzz around Nashville SC's stadium as it stands out against the backdrop of the city's skyline. Nashville's growth and the drive to innovate in the field of architecture has certainly not gone unnoticed. According to the official announcement, Monica Fawknotson, President of the Metropolitan Nashville Sports Authority, placed emphasis on community and creativity. "This award is a testament to collaboration, perseverance, and the creativity that flows through our city," she said. Set to be officially feted on September 20 in Athens, Greece, the award underlines Geodis Park's stance as not just a locale for sports but an exemplar of modern design.

Nashville continues to hit above its weight class in the realm of culture and the built environment. The brains behind GEODIS Park include the creative musing of Hastings and Populous Architects; project managers CAAICON for Nashville SC; Gobbell Hayes Partners (GHP) and Capital Project Solutions (CPS) for Metropolitan Nashville; and construction czars Mortenson and Messer.
