A tragic confrontation in Nashville resulted in the death of a woman early yesterday morning. The Metro Nashville Police Department reported that 42-year-old Keiona Wilson died after being shot inside a home on Scalf Drive. The fatal incident involved Wilson and 42-year-old Keosha Greer, whom Wilson's husband was reportedly dating.

According to WSMV, Wilson discovered her husband's vehicle parked at Greer's residence and moved it in front of the house using her key. Subsequently, an argument ensued through the home's surveillance system speaker, where both women argued over the presence of Wilson's husband in the house. The confrontation escalated when Wilson attempted to force her way into the residence.

Detectives indicate that Wilson was initially not struck when Greer fired a shot through the storm door after she tried to enter forcibly. After gaining entry, a physical altercation broke out between the two, leading to Greer firing a second shot, this time striking Wilson in the abdomen. Injured and seeking help, Wilson managed to drive a short distance before flagging down an officer outside the Madison Precinct, as noted by WKRN.

Wilson was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Metro Nashville Police Department has not filed charges, but the investigation is pending. They are consulting with the District Attorney's Office to determine if charges are appropriate, reported FOX17
