The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has briefed the public on the updated schedule of overnight lane and ramp closures on Interstate 15 (I-15) as part of the expansive I-15 South Widening Project. The project, aiming to streamline traffic flow and enhance road capacity, necessitates a series of disruptions meticulously mapped out for the coming week. According to information obtained from the NDOT's recent announcement, the closures, primarily occurring at night from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., will extend from Sunday, August 3rd to Friday, August 8th. As construction unfolds, motorists are expected to encounter single-lane restrictions on both northbound and southbound segments of I-15 across various road sections from Sloan Rd to Silverado Ranch.

Motorists traveling at night will need to brace themselves for the hefty task of navigating these closures. Notably, during the first overnight window from 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, the southbound I-15 off-ramp to Silverado Ranch will be closed, and the northbound I-15 off-ramp to Cactus Ave will share its fate. It is also advised that starting from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., the Cactus Ave on-ramp to northbound I-15 will be inaccessible. Additionally, the St. Rose Parkway on-ramp to northbound I-15 and the corresponding off-ramp will be sealed off for the entire overnight period.

During the second overnight closure window, scheduled from tomorrow evening through the early morning of Tuesday, the northbound I-15 off-ramp to Silverado Ranch Boulevard and the on-ramp from Silverado Ranch Boulevard to northbound I-15 will be closed. NDOT notes that the schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances and advises the public to stay updated on potential adjustments.

In addition to nightly closures, lane reductions will remain in effect 24/7 through August. Southbound I-15 from Warm Springs Road to Blue Diamond Road is reduced to three lanes, with the auxiliary lane closed. To help travelers stay informed, NDOT has partnered with Waze to share planned highway restrictions.
