The New Berlin Police Department has issued a vehicle break-in alert following a serial of incidents in the northeast part of their jurisdiction. As reported on social media, a number of unlocked vehicles were subjected to theft overnight between Monday and Tuesday, specifically from 2:00 AM to 4:30 AM.
In response to these break-ins, the department has requested the assistance of New Berlin residents—checking their Ring and other surveillance footage for any suspicious activities captured during the hours of the thefts. Concerned citizens with potential evidence are encouraged to contact the police department's non-emergency number and speak with an officer regarding the incident.
Furthermore, amidst this recent wave of break-ins, the New Berlin Police Department has reiterated some essential crime prevention tips to the community; reminding them to always lock their cars, never leave their keys inside, and avoid leaving any valuable items in plain view.
