Attention drivers gearing up for nocturnal travels in mid- and late August: the Nevada Department of Transportation is bringing overnight closures to sections of the I-15 as it breaches through another phase of the I-15/Tropicana Interchange project—milling, paving, and the installation of overhead sign panels are on the docket, as reported by the Nevada Department of Transportation.
The Nevada Department of Transportation announced overnight closures affecting collector-distributor roads and several ramps as part of the I-15/Tropicana Interchange project. On Wednesday, August 13, and Thursday, August 14, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., I-15 CDN will be closed from Warm Springs Road to Russell Road. The westbound I-215 ramp to Russell Road/Frank Sinatra Drive will also be closed, while access to northbound I-15 will remain open. The eastbound I-215 ramp to northbound I-15 and the northbound I-15 ramp to Tropicana Avenue/Frank Sinatra Drive will be closed during this time.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports additional overnight closures the following week as part of the I-15/Tropicana Interchange project. From 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, to 5:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, the I-15 CDS will be closed. The Tropicana Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-15, the Russell Road on-ramp, the southbound I-15 off-ramp to Russell Road, and the southbound I-15 ramp to westbound I-215 will also be closed during this time. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
