The North Greenwood neighborhood will host a meeting focused on its ongoing redevelopment efforts. The North Greenwood Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is scheduled to meet on Wednesday at the North Greenwood Recreation Center. The public session will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 900 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Clearwater, with local residents, business owners, and other interested parties invited to attend and take part in the discussion.
The committee's agenda includes consideration of a new cultural initiative: the potential introduction of the Art Oasis Mural Festival to North Greenwood. This project aims to install murals on prominent buildings through collaborations with local partners. According to the Clearwater CRA, the meeting will cover third-quarter budget adjustments for the current fiscal year and seek prompt approval of the proposed 2025–26 budget for the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA).
The meeting will also provide CRA staff an opportunity to share updates and facilitate community dialogue, allowing residents to engage directly with those overseeing local development. In addition, the City of Clearwater is inviting community members to become more involved with the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). An open seat is currently available, with the term beginning on October 1.
For interested members of the North Greenwood community, serving on the advisory committee provides a formal role in the planning and review process within the district. Individuals who live in, own a business, or operate a nonprofit in the CRA district are eligible to apply for the open seat. Information about the application process and the upcoming meeting agenda is available on the Clearwater CRA news page.
