
The NYPD is in active pursuit of a man implicated in a recent bank robbery in the Financial District. Last Monday, at around 11:15 a.m., the individual entered the Citi Bank at 120 Broadway. With a demand note in hand, he coerced the bank teller into surrendering $350 before making his escape, as reported by NBC New York.
Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a man approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black and white sneakers.
Elaborating on the incident, 1010 WINS disclosed surveillance footage capturing the suspect donning a Batman shirt, which could potentially aid investigators in identifying the perpetrator. Following the heist, the suspect was observed departing southbound on Broadway.
The NYPD is asking anyone with information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline, which offers assistance in both English and Spanish.
