The NYPD Crime Stoppers are turning to social media for help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent assault and robbery in the Bronx. The incident took place around 1:55 a.m. on July 6, when a 57-year-old man was violently attacked after exiting his parked car behind 2276 Westchester Avenue.
According to a social media post, the assailant punched the victim multiple times in the head before stealing his wallet and phone. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim's 2018 Honda CRV, driving south on Havemeyer Avenue.
The NYPD Crime Stoppers is encouraging individuals with information to submit tips anonymously by sending a direct message to @nypdtips or by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
