The incident took place around 1:55 a.m. on July 6, when a 57-year-old man was violently attacked after exiting his parked car behind 2276 Westchester Avenue.

According to a social media post, the assailant punched the victim multiple times in the head before stealing his wallet and phone. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim's 2018 Honda CRV, driving south on Havemeyer Avenue.
