The NYPD is soliciting the public's help to apprehend two men linked to a spate of grand larcenies in the Bronx area. As detailed in a social media post by the NYPD Crimestoppers, authorities have shared images and descriptions of the suspects tied to at least two incidents that took place last Wednesday. In the first reported case, a 60-year-old woman was out walking her dog around Stratford Avenue and East 174 Street when she was accosted by the duo, robbing her of neck chains worth around $1,000. Shortly after, a second woman, aged 45, fell victim to a similar crime at 743 Rosedale Avenue, with jewelry valued at about $1,300 forcibly taken.

The suspects, described as in their early to mid-20s with dark complexions and medium builds, remain at large. The NYPD notes that the men have made their escape utilizing a dark-colored older model Toyota Camry. The incidents, fortunately, did not result in physical injuries for the victims. When last seen, one suspect was adorned in a black hooded sweatshirt, camouflage pants, accented by blue socks, and black sandals, leaving witnesses with quite the impression. The attire of the second suspect at the time of the crimes has not been specified.

Community members with information that may lead to the identification or apprehension of the individuals are encouraged to contact NYPD Crimestoppers. The department has made a direct appeal to the public, offering several means to relay tips anonymously, including a direct message to the @nypdtips handle or by calling 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
