
The New York Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with an assault that took place on a Bronx subway train last month. According to a social media post by NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident occurred on a northbound "2" train near Grand Concourse and East 149 Street, at approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 26.
The victim, a 64-year-old woman, was reportedly attacked after she requested the individual, who was smoking a cigarette across from her on the moving train, to put out the cigarette, leading to the suspect punching her multiple times in the body, said the authorities.
NYPD Crimestoppers is urging anyone with information about the assault or the assailant to come forward and has provided a tip line at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) for anonymous tips, the online approach is also an option, and they can direct message @nypdtips if they prefer.
