The New York City Police Department is seeking an individual connected to a robbery that occurred in Queens earlier this month. The incident took place on August 5 at around 4:50 a.m. at a business located at 187-42 Hillside Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the 103rd Precinct. According to an NYPD Crimestoppers Facebook post, the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded goods from a 26-year-old employee, taking approximately $100 in cash along with additional merchandise from behind the counter.
The NYPD is encouraging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward, offering various methods for the public to share tips anonymously, it was on social media that the police provided details that the person they are seeking entered the Queens establishment, displayed a weapon, and proceeded to take both money and items from an employee. Individuals with knowledge of the crime can direct message NYPD tips on Facebook or call the hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
No descriptions of the suspect have been made available at this time, however, investigators are hoping that those in the neighborhood during the time of the early morning robbery will come forward with any observations that might aid in apprehending the person responsible.
