An unsettling home intrusion shook the Oak Creek neighborhood over the weekend, with two minors caught amidst the disconcerting scene. According to the Oak Creek Police Department, a report of a break-in on Saturday night around 9:44 p.m. was relayed to dispatch by homeowners who witnessed the incident through surveillance cameras, FOX6 News reported; their two children, aged 11 and 12, were inside the residence located near 27th and Rawson at the time.
In a swift response that belies the terror such an event may have wrought, the local police force enacted a plan to secure the two young residents, while the adults remotely monitored the home invasion, upon their return they were relieved to find their children unharmed, as per TMJ4. After establishing telephone contact, officers guided the children to safely exit the house where they were reunited with their parents, thankfully forgoing the nightmares one might imagine festering in a scenario such as this.
Further investigation revealed that three unidentified suspects had managed to force entry into the home, though police have yet to determine whether any items were taken from the residence, surveillance footage has not shown the suspects exiting which has raised peculiar questions about the nature of the crime, this mysterious detail was noted by WISN. The Oak Creek Police Department diligently cleared the house confirming there were no intruders left within the home's walls, ensuring no unpleasant surprises would further traumatize those involved.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
