
Oklahoma drivers will face highway construction through 2025, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation says. I-35 between US-77/2nd St. in Edmond and Memorial Rd. will have lane reductions and intermittent ramp closures. Work includes lane resurfacing, protected turnarounds, and converting a frontage road to one-way. The SH-66/US-81 intersection in El Reno will be reduced to one lane for roundabout construction, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports ongoing highway work in the Oklahoma City area. SH-9 in Norman is reduced to one lane in each direction between 12th Ave. S.E. and US-77/Classen Blvd. through August for bridge repairs. I-40 at I-44 will have nighttime lane reductions through fall 2025 for bridge and pavement work. I-35 and I-44 near N. 63rd St. are under construction for bridge reconstruction. The southbound I-35 on-ramp from Bryant Ave. is permanently closed, and I-240 near I-35 has lane and service road closures. I-40 is suggested as an alternate route.

SH-37/S.E. 4th St. in Moore is closed between Broadway Ave. and Tower Dr. until summer 2026 for a railway bridge project. SH-9E west of US-77 in Norman has occasional lane narrowing, and SH-4 near Wagner Rd. in Yukon is under realignment through summer 2025. Garth Brooks Blvd. in Yukon will have one lane in each direction near I-40 until summer 2026, with ramp conditions changing. US-270 near Calumet has lanes reduced to one in each direction for surface work through summer 2025, with temporary traffic signals.
