Tragedy struck in northwest Harris County earlier today when a domestic situation turned fatal, resulting in two men being shot, one of whom died. As reported by KHOU, the incident began as a child custody dispute at a residence on Tanglehead Court near Antoine Drive and Beltway 8.
Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables responded to the scene, and amidst the confrontation, one man emerged from the house, weapon in hand, and shot another man outside, which was when a deputy constable engaged and shot the armed individual. Despite efforts to administer CPR, the victim perished; initial reports from Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's Office indicated the suspect had died, but Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez later confirmed that the suspect is in critical condition, as noted by Click2Houston.
The dual shooting took place at the 11016 block of Tanglehead Court, which saw the suspect being struck down by the law enforcement officer's bullet and subsequently transported to a hospital where he remains, enduring the uncertainty of a critical condition.
