A tragic collision claimed the life of a 20-year-old Orlando woman on the eastbound I-4 near U.S. 301 late last night, as confirmed by the Florida Highway Patrol. FOX 13 News reported that the incident, involving three vehicles, occurred just before 11 p.m.
The young woman was driving a Toyota Corolla when she collided with a Honda before coming to rest in the median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol information given to WTSP. The chain of unfortunate events did not stop there, as a 24-year-old man from Lakeland, driving a Toyota Camry, attempted to avoid the Honda and then tragically struck the young woman, who had already gotten out of her vehicle, and subsequently collided with the median barrier.
The dangerous sequence of events that unfolded that night led to the young woman's untimely death at the scene, the authorities stated. The Florida Highway Patrol emphasized that the Orlando woman was outside her car when the Camry, in an attempt to avoid the Civic, started to rotate and fatally impacted her before hitting the median barrier, as detailed in an account provided by WFLA News Channel 8.
