Following a routine traffic stop, a 25-year-old Oxnard resident finds himself under arrest for possession of firearms and narcotics. The incident unfolded late on the evening of Friday, when Oxnard Police officers pulled over Dominic McLaughlin after citing a vehicle code violation. The stop, which took place at the intersection of Doris and M Streets in Oxnard, quickly escalated when officers spotted drugs and open alcohol containers inside McLaughlin's vehicle.
According to an official news release by the Oxnard Police Department, the subsequent search led to the discovery of a loaded 9mm firearm. McLaughlin now faces several charges related to the illicit items found within his car.
