
Tragedy struck early yetserday morning in the central Las Vegas valley as a passenger was killed in a suspected DUI crash. FOX5 Vegas reports that the incident occurred just after 2 a.m. at the intersection of Valley View Boulevard and Harmon Avenue. A 2015 Nissan Altima, driven by 41-year-old Andre Clark, veered off the road and slammed into a traffic signal support.
The passenger, taken later to the hospital, succumbed to their injuries. While suffering minor injuries, police arrested Clark for showing signs of impairment, as 8 News Now detailed the driver facing DUI-related charges.
According to a KTNV report, this fatal collision marks the 107th traffic-related death within the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) for the year 2025. Following evidence at the scene and witness statements, the southbound Nissan Altima crashed for unknown reasons, leading to this somber statistic's increment.
The LVMPD's Collision Investigation Section is continuing the investigation of the crash, identifying the need for advanced medical care the 53-year-old passenger received prior to their passing. Despite their efforts at a nearby hospital, the individual was pronounced dead by the attending medical staff, as stated by LVMPD in their communications.
