
A 39-year-old was struck and killed by a semi-truck in downtown Milwaukee on Tuesday morning. Milwaukee Police said the collision happened at about 11:17 a.m. on the 400 block of N. Broadway near the Milwaukee Public Market. Police said the semi-truck was turning when the person was hit, according to Spectrum News 1.
The Milwaukee Fire Department reported that they were called to an incident near the intersection of Broadway and E St. Paul Avenue. WISN stated that the person who died was crossing the street when they were hit by a semi-truck making a turn. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Milwaukee authorities closed parts of Broadway after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a semi-truck. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating. The incident is under investigation and will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
