The victim, identified as 45-year-old Vidal Zinczuk Jr., was hit around 10:32 p.m. and succumbed to life-threatening injuries at the scene, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The driver of the involved Chevrolet Express van remained at the location of the crash, and, no injuries were reported from their side.
