A 29-year-old Philadelphia man named Darnaill Foster faces serious charges for allegedly transporting a 17-year-old girl to Pittsburgh for sexual exploitation. As reported by WPXI, details from the investigation reveal that Foster and the teenager arrived at the DoubleTree Hotel in Marshall Township, where an undercover sting operation by the Northern Regional Police Department was waiting for them after responding to an online escort advertisement; however, when Foster reportedly became suspicious of law enforcement presence, he attempted to leave the scene, leading to a traffic stop and subsequent discovery.
During the stop, the girl claimed Foster was her best friend’s brother and that they were in town visiting his sister and mother; they had intended to stay at a hotel, found it too expensive, and decided to leave, yet the search yielded a cellphone linking them to police communications, according to court records. Meanwhile, coverage by CBS News Pittsburgh added that marijuana and condoms were found in the teenager's purse.
Foster has been charged with trafficking, promoting prostitution, and sexual exploitation of children; he was denied bail because he is considered a flight risk and a threat to the community.
