The Central Detective Division of Philadelphia is actively seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in a recent robbery. The incident, which was caught on camera, occurred on August 9 at approximately 6:30pm in Dilworth Plaza located at 1500 Market Street. According to the video footage, the suspect is reported to have attacked a 17-year-old male victim, causing him to fall and drop his cell phone, which the assailant then took. The Philadelphia Police have released still photos from the video in hopes that someone might recognize the individual and come forward with information.
Officials provided a description of the suspect as a black male who has facial hair and was spotted wearing glasses, a white t-shirt, light-colored pants, white sneakers, and carrying a dark backpack. In an attempt to widen their search and encourage tips, the authorities have directed the public to their YouTube channel, where the video can be viewed. The footage not only shows the confrontation but also provides a clearer image of the suspect's distinguishing features and attire.
