According to the latest forecast by the National Weather Service, Wednesday's high is expected to hit a scorching 111 degrees, while Thursday may see temperatures climbing even higher to around 112 degrees.
The forecast doesn't provide much relief overnight either, as the mercury is set to hover around the 90-degree mark. There is also a notable chance to abruptly see showers and thunderstorms in the coming evenings, particularly Friday and Saturday, where the probabilities increase to 30 percent before tapering off by nightfall.
The National Weather Service indicated a "10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm" on Wednesday, ensuring that residents must remain vigilant for any sudden weather changes. Hazy conditions are also expected to persist over the area, owing partly to widespread smoke in the region before 9 am on Thursday.
