The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is tossing out the old, opaque curtain to let sunshine in on its Phoenix Parks and Preserve Initiative (PPPI) Program. It's a new webpage for the inquisitive residents to peruse, packed with financial rundowns, investment maps, and insights into projects that their sales tax contributions are funding for park improvements and preserve protection.
The PPPI digital hub, sanctioned by Phoenix wallets since a 1999 sales tax initiative and again in 2008, displays a cascade of information including fund balance reports on capital improvement projects it's about design elements like new playground fixtures, amping up trailhead facilities and, it's also about upgrading lighting and pushing water conservation in local and desert parks; which is scheduled to go live by the end of this week. Cynthia Aguilar, Director of the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, provided a window into their mission in a statement.
