A shooting incident in Pittsburgh's Perry North neighborhood left a teenage girl with graze wounds to her legs, as reported by authorities last night. Police were called to the 100 block of Watson Boulevard around 9:45 p.m. following reports of shots fired, where they found the injured teen. The girl was quickly transported to a hospital, where she is currently in stable condition.
Shortly after the incident, responding officers received information about a potential suspect living nearby. Detained after coming out of her house for questioning was Brittany Smith, 33, with officers conducting a sweep of the premises to ensure no other victims or suspects were present, according to WPXI. At the time, Smith had not been charged.
In a development this morning, Smith has now been charged with aggravated assault, among other offenses related to the shooting, as detailed by WTAE.
