The temperature will dip slightly at night to a comfortable low around 59 degrees. The forecasts for Queens indicate a matching high of 77 degrees for today and a low of 59 by night.
The Bronx can also expect a sunny day today, with temperatures peaking near 76 degrees and a nighttime low around 57 degrees, as reported by the NWS. Staten Island's weather mirrors the other boroughs with sunny conditions and a high near 77 degrees.
Chance of showers is pegged at 30 to 50 percent from Thursday through Friday across the boroughs, with Staten Island seeing up to a 40 percent chance of showers on Thursday and a 50 percent chance by Friday. Despite the fairly benign forecast, the National Weather Service has a standing hazardous weather outlook that covers a broad area, including all five boroughs, although it states that "No hazardous weather is expected at this time."
