
A tragic event has unfolded in northeast Harris County, where a pregnant woman was killed in a vehicle collision last night. The incident occurred in the 12300 block of Tidwell at CE King Parkway, as reported by Click2Houston. According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies, a red Mustang, driven by the pregnant woman in her 20s, was struck from behind by a truck, forcing her into a devastating head-on crash with another truck.
The initial impact, caused by a white pickup truck that was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, pushed the Mustang over the center median, resulting in the fatal collision. The teenager, who was a passenger in the Mustang, was hospitalized and at last check was reported in stable condition, as noted by FOX26 Houston. The driver of the Mustang was pronounced dead at the scene.
The search is ongoing for the white pickup truck, which fled the scene following the incident. Officials are urging anyone with information, or those in the vicinity with surveillance cameras, to come forward and contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-221-6000 to aid in the investigation.
Meanwhile, as per Click2Houston, the Sheriff's Office has not yet revealed additional details about the fleeing vehicle, except that it has front-end damage. The occupants of the second truck involved, which was pulling a trailer, were not injured in the crash.
