Raleigh residents interested in family history can learn how to preserve important documents at an upcoming workshop. The Five Points Center for Active Adults is hosting a hands-on session to help people care for family papers and heirlooms, according to a post on the City of Raleigh’s website.
The City of Raleigh is hosting a free document preservation workshop on September 9 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Five Points Center for Active Adults. Open to individuals 18 and older, the event will offer hands-on instruction in how to properly care for family papers and historical documents.
Participants will learn practical techniques for preserving items like letters, certificates, and other keepsakes. The workshop also provides a chance to meet others interested in family history and document care. Light refreshments will be served after the session.
This workshop is part of the city's effort to help residents protect and maintain their personal and family histories. For more details, visit the City of Raleigh's official event page.
