
On Monday in Kōloa, the Kaua‘i Fire Department responded to a fire on Kōloa Road. Firefighters arrived around 6:45 p.m., five minutes after the call at 6:40 p.m., and found a shed as the source of the smoke. Bystanders had already used fire extinguishers to help control the fire, according to the County of Kauai.
Teams from the Kalāheo and Kōloa fire stations, along with the on-duty Battalion Chief, responded to the fire. Bystanders used fire extinguishers to control the blaze until firefighters arrived. The fire was fully extinguished and the scene cleared by 7:15 p.m., as reported by the County of Kauai.
