In a recent incident of theft, quick action by the authorities led to the recovery of property worth thousands. Yesterday, Constable Mark Herman's deputy responded swiftly to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 18000 block of Overlook Park Court. According to the Constable's Office Facebook post, suspects drove by in a dark-colored sedan, with the passenger breaking into a victim's car to steal over $2,000 in tools. The suspects were apprehended after deputies located the vehicle soon thereafter.
A traffic stop led to the detention of the driver, Keira Jones, and her passenger, Jontavious Hall. During the investigation, driving down the neighborhood streets, the deputies discovered all stolen items, which they promptly returned to the owner. "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle," as reported by the Constable's Office. It was also found that Hall, apart from the immediate charges, had six existing warrants for arrest—three for evading arrest and three for burglary—based on the records from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
As per the Constable's Office, Keira Jones was already on bond for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, while Jontavious Hall had a substantial history with law enforcement. The warrants out on Hall carried a combined bond amount of $60,000, signaling the severity of his alleged criminal involvement.
Jones's bond was posted at $500 out of County Court 6. Hall, trapped by his past, awaited bond review from the 487th District Court.
