
The Reno City Council approved a consulting agreement with Carollo Engineers, Inc. for a boiler replacement project at the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility. The project is valued at more than $882,000, with Reno covering most of the cost, according to the City of Reno.
Reno’s City Council approved $1.21 million from the Street Fund’s FY 25/26 Budget for road maintenance and upgrades, including crack sealant, asphalt materials, downtown lighting, and reflective signage. The Council also reviewed sewer utility management, reporting $128.9 million invested in the city’s sewer infrastructure over the past 10 years, as reported by the City of Reno.
The Reno City Council proposed an amendment to extend the collection of Police Facility Impact Fees, which are charged on new developments during the building permit process to help fund the new Public Safety Center. The amendment, part of the triennial review required by NRS 278B, may also raise fee amounts and extend the collection period. The Council also approved an ordinance amendment to "authorize certified Reno Police officers who are trained in the enforcement of commercial vehicle laws to conduct traffic stops during truck inspection operations within Reno's jurisdiction," as stated by the City of Reno.
