Constable Mark Herman's office reported the arrest of a repeat drunk driving offender late last week, an individual with a history that includes intoxication manslaughter. Deputies apprehended Wesley Reis on Monday after stopping him in the area of Spring Cypress Road, according to a Precinct 4 social media update. Showing clear signs of intoxication, Reis failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was subsequently detained.
Plagued by past transgressions, the traffic stop on the 13800 block revealed more than just Reis's present inebriation. Having two prior DWI convictions, including one for Intoxication Manslaughter, his record casts a long shadow over the incident. Precinct 4's Facebook page quotes Constable Herman stating, "Wesley Reis was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated with prior Intoxication Manslaughter." His bond was set at $50,000 by the 487th District Court.
