With no break in sight, Thursday and Friday will follow suit, both sunny and with highs resting in the mid-90s. The nighttime weather will mirror the previous evening's, mostly clear with temperatures dropping to the low 60s. Meanwhile, Sacramento residents gearing up for the weekend should brace themselves for the thermometer to top out at around 101 degrees by Saturday.
As the weekend progresses, the heat will not let up, with the NWS projecting another scorcher for Sunday with a high near 98 degrees. By nightfall, conditions will ease slightly to a moderate 63 degrees. Into the start of the new week, Monday promises more of the same: a continuation of sun-drenched days and highs teasing the upper 90s.
