
Early Wednesday morning in downtown Sacramento, a man armed with a knife barricaded himself inside an apartment after a disturbance. Police were called around 2:30 a.m. to the 1100 block of 9th Street following a 911 hang-up. They found two people in a dispute, and after separating them, the man went into an apartment with a knife, as reported by KCRA.
SWAT and crisis negotiators are on the scene working to resolve the situation. According to the Sacramento Police Department on their X account, the public should expect a large law enforcement presence in the area.
