SacRT’s RydeFreeRT program is now in its sixth year, providing free rides for TK-12 students across the Sacramento region. The program covers travel for school, activities, and other trips throughout the year, according to the City of Folsom.
The RydeFreeRT program provides free rides on SacRT buses and light rail for students in the service area, along with youth in foster care or experiencing homelessness. A valid RydeFreeRT card is required and can be picked up at schools, the SacRT Customer Service and Sales Center, or Sacramento Public Library branches, as reported by the City of Folsom.
The RydeFreeRT program provides students with unlimited rides through June 30, 2026. Information on the program and pick-up locations is available on the RydeFreeRT website. SacRT Customer Service is located at 1225 R Street and can be reached via the 13th Street light rail station, as stated by the City of Folsom.
