The City of San Antonio has invited residents to attend Budget Town Hall meetings throughout August. These meetings come before the presentation of the Fiscal Year 2026 proposed budget, which City Manager Erik Walsh will present during the City Council A Session on August 14. “The City’s budget is arguably one of the most important responsibilities of local government,” Walsh said. He noted that the town halls give residents an opportunity to review and provide feedback on the budget proposals, according to the City of San Antonio.

The City of San Antonio has scheduled a series of town hall meetings to discuss the proposed budget and gather community feedback. The schedule, including district locations and a Youth Town Hall, is available online, where residents can also register to attend. The city’s fiscal year begins on October 1, and the City Council will vote on the budget on September 18.

San Antonio will hold town hall meetings from August 18 to August 27, starting in Districts 3 and 10 and ending in District 8. A Youth Town Hall is set for August 23 at the Central Library. The city will also hold public hearings on the 2026 Ad Valorem Tax Rate and the FY 2026 Proposed Budget on September 3 and September 11 at the City Council Chambers, as reported by the City of San Antonio.
