An 18-year-old man from San Rafael has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run in Novato that left two teenagers seriously injured. Yesterday, a white Ford Edge SUV collided with a tree on Ignacio Blvd. The crash resulted in critical injuries to a 14-year-old girl and significant injuries to a 15-year-old boy, both of whom were passengers in the vehicle. Following the collision, the driver, now identified as Corea, fled the scene but was later located and arrested by detectives near Nave Drive and Bolling Drive. Despite a thorough search by the local police and Marin County Sheriff's drone team, Corea was not found immediately following the accident, according to Novato Police. His bail has been set at $100,000, and he was admitted to a hospital for injuries sustained during the collision before being booked into the Marin County Jail.
