Keeping an eye on local efforts to tackle longstanding cold cases, the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) has launched the third edition of its "Missing Person Monday" campaign. According to a social media post from the Santa Rosa Police Department, this initiative focuses on reviving attention on missing adult cases that have long remained unsolved, inviting the public to play a part in these ongoing investigations.
The campaign began in January of last year, showcasing 30 cold cases over six weeks to drum up new leads or locate missing individuals. Impressively, by the end of the first campaign, not only was one person found almost immediately after the launch, but five missing adults were located, one of whom had been missing since 2005. Following the impactful results from the initial run and a subsequent second campaign, authorities have geared up for a third, promising a weekly highlight of several cold cases.
Vital information and updates on these cases are set to appear each Monday on the department's social media outlets. The SRPD maintains an open line for tips at 707-528-5222 for local Santa Rosa findings, while directing those outside the area to contact their respective law enforcement agencies. For those with potentially game-changing information, the SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations Team has a dedicated tip line at 707-543-3590.
