A Scottsdale man, Julian Nixon, is facing numerous charges after being accused of secretly recording sexual encounters with multiple women without their consent. Nixon, who was arrested on July 30 in the East Valley, is now facing over 20 counts of unlawful taping and voyeurism, according to a report by FOX 10 Phoenix.
The investigation into Nixon began when a woman, whom he had been seeing, discovered hidden cameras in his bedroom. Upon being confronted, Nixon admitted to the secret recordings, claiming the precautionary measure was in case he got accused of sexual assault, and told the victim that he deleted videos involving her, AZFamily reports. Nixon's alleged actions came to light after Scottsdale Police received a report on April 17 of an unlawful recording event at Nixon's home.
During a subsequent search warrant executed on May 7, detectives seized three cell phones from Nixon's residence that were craftily positioned in his bedroom to record the bed from various angles. Initial disclosures from the Scottsdale Police indicated the discovery of over 400 videos, but this was later corrected to over 100 videos, spanning from 2016 to 2025, as stated in court documents obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix.
Throughout the investigation, four women have come forward wishing to be identified as victims, asserting they had no knowledge or consent to being filmed by Nixon. After officers made contact with Nixon, he reportedly admitted to recording the videos but claimed they had been deleted. However, due to the serious nature of the accusations, Nixon was not arrested, as officers had not viewed any of the alleged recordings at that time.
Nixon is accused of a total of 24 felony counts including unlawful recording and voyeurism, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for August 8. Suppose Nixon makes his set bond of $75,000. In that case, he will be required to comply with several conditions, including electronic monitoring, a curfew, and a restriction on internet usage except for work purposes, the court documents as cited by FOX 10 Phoenix indicated. More details about the case are expected to unfold as the investigation proceeds and additional victims are potentially identified.
